A hardened, ground blade blank ready for handle work. The heat treatment is done and the geometry is set — everything after this is yours. Full tang construction.

A high-performance tool steel, Sleipner sits between carbon and stainless: harder and longer-lasting than most stainless, easier to live with than plain carbon.

We buy steel direct from Voestalpine, grind each blade by hand on the belt grinder, and return the blanks to Voestalpine for heat treatment done to spec.
