An everyday carry blank with a drop point profile and a full tang, sized so the finished knife disappears in a pocket sheath.

1.4116 is the honest workhorse of stainless knife steels. Easy to sharpen on any stone, forgiving to work with, and stable enough that a first-time build comes out straight.

A slightly thicker 3.5 mm (0.14 in) stock gives this version more spine than the N690 variant, which suits a harder-used carry knife. Full flat ground, hardened, pin holes drilled at 4 mm (0.16 in).
