1.4116 Sandblasted Knife Blank - SK19

The blasted surface is a practical finish: no reflections in the field and no need to chase a mirror polish on the flats.

X50CrMoV15 is the pragmatic stainless. Molybdenum and vanadium give wear resistance without brittleness, and maintenance is close to zero.

We buy steel direct from Voestalpine, grind each blade by hand on the belt grinder, and return the blanks to Voestalpine for heat treatment done to spec.

Knife making supplies are all we do. Outdoor, EDC, hunting and kitchen blade blanks, ground in house and heat treated at the mill. Arrives ground and sharpened. Ask for it unsharpened if you prefer to set your own edge.
