4116 Full Tang Kitchen Knife Blank

A full tang build puts steel through the entire handle. Heavier in the hand, stiffer under load, and the construction most Western cooks expect.

1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) is the steel behind most German kitchen knives, and for good reason. It is tough, highly corrosion resistant and remarkably easy to sharpen — ideal for a first build or a knife that will see hard daily use.

We buy our steel direct from Voestalpine, grind each blade by hand on the belt grinder, and return the finished blanks to Voestalpine for professional heat treatment. No guesswork, no garage quenching.
