Brass Pin - 3 mm (1/8")
Plain brass pin, the simplest and most reliable way to fix scales to a tang. Peened or epoxied, it disappears into the handle and lets the wood do the talking.
Match the diameter to the holes already drilled in your blank: our blade blanks use 4 mm (0.16 in), 6 mm (0.24 in) and 8 mm (0.31 in) depending on the model.

Price includes one rod.
Three millimetres is the pin for small work — neck knives, kiridashi, paring handles. At this diameter the pin all but disappears once sanded flush, which is what you want when the scale itself is only 6-7 mm (0.24-0.28 in) thick and a fat pin would dominate it.
