D2 Knife Blank - DI20

A hardened, ground blade blank ready for handle work. The heat treatment is done and the geometry is set — everything after this is yours. This is an unfinished blade blank for knife makers: supplied without handle, scales, pins or fittings, and not a finished knife. The maker fits the handle and finishes the edge.

D2 has been a knife steel staple for decades. It holds an edge a long time and rewards a maker who does not mind wiping the blade down.

Every blank starts as certified Voestalpine stock. We profile and hand grind it in our own workshop, then send it back to Voestalpine for professional heat treatment.
