DRY Iroko (African Teak) Wood Block for Knife Handles
Golden to medium brown with a simple, honest grain. Iroko is compared to teak for good reason — the same natural oils, the same resistance to moisture, and the same habit of darkening to a deeper amber over the first year.
It is the sensible choice for a knife that will get wet: kitchen, fishing, anything near a sink. No stabilising needed, the wood does it itself.
Thick enough to saw into two scales, or leave whole and shape a hidden tang handle from the solid. Also useful for bolsters, spacers and carving.
Each piece is selected, cut and sanded by hand so the grain shows before you even start shaping. Air dried, ready to work, and stable enough to go straight onto a tang.
