Elmax Hunting Knife Blank - EL11

Hunting blades live or die on the belly. A sweeping edge does the skinning work without the tip catching, and the point stays fine enough for careful cuts.

Uddeholm Elmax is powder metallurgy stainless. The PM process spreads carbides evenly, giving long edge life without the brittleness that usually comes with it.

We buy steel direct from Voestalpine, grind each blade by hand on the belt grinder, and return the blanks to Voestalpine for heat treatment done to spec.

The tang is drilled and profiled, so handle work is the only step left. Scales, pins, epoxy — the knife is done in an evening.
