Mosaic pins are the detail that makes a handle look finished rather than assembled. Brass tubing packed with coloured epoxy, so every pin shows a different pattern once it is ground flush and sanded.

Drill, epoxy in, cut proud, then take it down with the rest of the handle. The pattern appears as you sand.
