A kiridashi is the Japanese marking and utility knife: single bevel, ground on the right side, made for scoring, carving and every small cut a folder handles badly.

N690 takes a screaming edge and keeps it, which is exactly what a single bevel kiridashi needs. It also resists rust, so the blade survives a pocket without babysitting.
