Octagonal Wa Handle for Japanese Chef Knives - Padauk, Purple Resin and Zebrano
A traditional Japanese octagonal wa handle, CNC shaped and ready to fit. The hardest part of a wa handle is the burnt-in tang slot — drilled true, sized right, deep enough. That is already done.
Deep red padauk with a purple resin band and zebrano striping. Padauk needs no dye to be that colour and it is dimensionally stable, so the handle stays true. Zebrano brings the bold dark-over-tan contrast that keeps the whole thing from reading as one block of red.
Made for our N690 Japanese chef blade blanks (NC01 to NC16). The tang slot is cut to match their hidden tang dimensions, so the blade seats without filing or shimming.
Each piece is selected, laminated with liners and resin, then CNC shaped. It arrives needing only final sanding and polishing — the shape is right, the surface is up to you.
