CNC Pre-Shaped Turkish Walnut Knife Handle - Hidden Tang
A hidden tang handle that is already roughed out. CNC shaped from air dried Turkish walnut, so the hard part — getting a symmetrical, comfortable profile — is done before it reaches you. Drill the slot, epoxy the tang in, sand and oil.
Sized for hidden tang blades and puukko blanks. If you have been buying our Sleipner or Elmax puukko blanks and stopping at the handle, this is the shortcut.
The base is left deliberately flat so the handle clamps square in a vice while you drill the tang slot. That one detail is the difference between a slot that runs true and one that exits the side.
Turkish walnut earns its reputation here: dense enough not to split around the tang, light enough to keep the knife balanced forward, and stable once dried so the handle will not warp or crack around the epoxy. The natural oils resist moisture without any finish at all, though a few coats of oil bring out the grain.
