Sleipner Hatchet Blank - SHT01

Uddeholm Sleipner hatchet blank, ground and hardened to 61-62 HRC, 4.4 mm thick. This full tang hatchet is 330 mm overall with a 100 mm cutting edge, shaped with a deep, squared bit with a short beard and a curved handle carrying four finger grooves and two pin holes.

Each head is hand ground on the belt grinder in our Istanbul workshop and heat treated at Voestalpine. It ships sharpened; ask if you want it unsharpened.

Sleipner is a tough, wear resistant tool steel with more chromium than plain carbon steel, so it takes knocks well and holds its edge. It is not stainless, so keep it oiled. Price is for one blank, no handle material included.
